DigitalRoute, the Stockholm-based Independent Software Vendor, is positioned on Ahrens rapid growth ranking list for the fourth consecutive year.

STOCKHOLM, September 19, 2013 — Ahrens’ ranking list highlights rapid growth companies that contribute to the vitality of the Swedish business community. In order to qualify, companies must demonstrate a minimum growth of 25% over 6 years, a substantial turnover and profitability. The companies must also be profitable, have their base of the operations located in Sweden and they must be independent from individual customers or groups.

The potential growth capacity of the companies is not considered in the evaluation of the candidate companies. The list is based on historical information from 2006-2012 and the selection criteria are designed to eliminate subjective assessments.

It is the fourth consecutive year that DigitalRoute makes its way on to the list. This year DigitalRoute secured its ranking among 55 listed companies drawn from 21 different industries. These companies represent combined sales of 25 billion, a 4.5-fold increase on sales of listed companies seven years ago.

Ahrens produces growth list to highlight those companies in Sweden that are achieving lasting success, creating jobs and contributing to business innovation. The criteria for entry is high; "The goal is to draw attention to this group of exciting businesses while gaining a measure of how well things are going for Swedish companies" said Michael Engström, CEO Ahrens & Partners.

In 2012, DigitalRoute won several contracts with communication services providers in North America, Europe and Asia while the installed base for its flagship product MediationZone continued to expand.  In total, there are today more than 265 MediationZone customers around the world. DigitalRoute forecasts continued strong business momentum over the next years.

“Our product plays an increasingly significant role in our customers IT infrastructures,” said Jan Karlsson, Chief Executive Officer at DigitalRoute. “As Big Data proliferates, a reality about which everyone is aware, the need to process, segment, and offload that data so it can be rendered both useful and easily intelligible is a mission critical function. MediationZone offers an unrivalled solution for the front end of the Big Data wave.”
