DigitalRoute Hosts Third User Group Meeting
25 May 2010 - 9:21

Stockholm, May 25, 2010

DigitalRoute, the leading provider of embedded and standalone mediation and data integration software, today announced the successful completion of the third User Group Meeting which was held in Stockholm on May 17-18.

DigitalRoute’s goal with the user group meetings is to create an interactive environment to exchange experiences, share best practices, and contribute to the future evolution of MediationZone®.

This user group meeting had a strong focus on cost reduction for the communication service providers. As the cost of managing the mobile data traffic is outpacing the revenue growth in the market, communication service providers are actively looking for ways to reduce IT spending. Simplification of the data integration architecture and improved cost/performance are some of the key areas that must be addressed.

MediationZone provides a compelling case for replacing not just the legacy mediation systems in the BSS domain but also for replacing integration applications for OSS, Business Intelligence and Policy Control. With the implementation of a single Horizontal Mediation layer across multiple vertical applications, communication service providers can dramatically reduce the OPEX and CAPEX costs for data integration.

New and novel usage areas for MediationZone were also demonstrated by DigitalRoute’s partners at the user group meeting. “It is part of our strategy to enable our customers and partners to be fully self-sufficient. It is clear that this works as a catalyst for innovation”, said Jan Karlsson, Chief Executive Officer, DigitalRoute.

The event hosted participants representing 33 different communication service providers, software vendors and system integration companies. ”Our channel strategy with value added reseller and OEM agreements in combination with direct sales, lays a foundation for a diverse and thriving eco-system of industry professionals. This is one of the many factors that are contributing to our success and it fuels the rapid evolution of our product”, said Jan Karlsson
