The MediationZone platform enables organizations to realize the value hidden in their usage data using DigitalRoute's unique approach. It was designed from first principles with fewer integration points and flexible data management in mind.
MediationZone bridges the components in any type of network architecture and provides comprehensive functionality that lets systems easily communicate with each other. In the process, raw data is turned into usable information the sources of which can be any number of network elements and/or systems.
Data streams are optimized and enriched which means reduced costs for hardware, software licenses and maintenance are possible while at the same time gaining new opportunities to differentiate and personalize services.
MediationZone can handle online and offline data processing on one platform. File-based collection and processing is configured with the same graphical workflow technology that is used to create bi-directional realtime communication streams.
Design and changes within MediationZone are achieved through configuration rather than hard-coding. An intuitive and powerful drag-and-drop management user interface covers all aspects of workflow life-cycle management.
Once configured, workflows are automatically deployed on designated servers and executed in accordance with defined scheduling criteria. High availability capabilities ensure that workflows are executing at all times.
Processing functions include analysis, filtering, cloning, splitting, routing, normalization, correlation/aggregation, de-duplication, validation, enrichment, and others. Standard MediationZone agents can be configured to support operator-specific business logic without any need for customization of the standard product.
Integration with external systems for data exchange is achieved through plug-ins, which implement the protocols to be used when communicating with other systems. A large number of protocols are supported off-the-shelf, both for interfacing as well as for secure and consistent operation.
Support for additional protocols is added continuously as part of roadmap development, and also on an on-demand basis. A development toolkit is available for adding standard as well as proprietary interfaces. All APIs in the development toolkit have been carefully designed from the outset to minimize programming overhead, and to enable 3rd parties to extend the platform.
MediationZone 7 is the latest product release. It adds increased availability, processing efficiency and new functionality (including the Service Control Use Case) to enhance MediationZone’s reputation and further accomodate the continually evolving needs of modern Communications Service Providers.
Ensuring profitability in a changing landscape of subscriber offerings is critical for telcos, particularly with traditional voice and SMS services now commoditised. Service Control from DigitalRoute lets Service Providers reduce the cost of delivering metered data services so they can gain a competitive advantage through the service delivery process.
The Development Toolkit option is truly the one option to make you self-sufficient and allows you to handle any new interface, legacy protocol or function that you might need in developing your business strategy. It enables you to deploy new functionality on your platform without contacting DigitalRoute.
