MediationZone provides a carrier grade execution environment for mediation applications. Customer specific mediation solutions are configured using standard software components. A clear separation is maintained between runtime platform, off-the-shelf functionality and configuration. This enables independent evolution of computing infrastructure, standard software and customer configuration as requirements change.
MediationZone separates the concept of protocols, from physical/logical data formats and from whatever business logic the information flow should be exposed to.

- Runtime environment: carrier-grade execution environment for mediation workflows. Workflows consist of protocol and data management agents that are combined into mediation solutions tailored for each customer’s specific requirements.
- Communication protocols: MediationZone enables end-to-end integration of systems that need to exchange data. It includes off-the-shelf protocol agents supporting standard and proprietary batch as well as real-time data exchange.
- Data management: data that flows between systems needs to be formatted, validated and transformed based on the requirements of the systems being integrated. Specialized data management agents provide comprehensive support for all core mediation functions.
- Operation and maintenance: extensive operations capabilities including alarm generation and management, SNMP monitoring integration, system statistics, error correction and audit.
- Security: clean n-tier security architecture enabling deployment with TLS encryption and X.509 certificates in addition to user access profiles.
- Extendible: development toolkit allowing plug-and-play introduction of new functionality.
