DigitalRoute Announces Record Results for 2017 as Company Establishes Role as a Leading Change Enabler Across Vertical Industries

DigitalRoute, the leading provider of Data integration and Data Management solutions globally, has announced its year-end financial results for 2017.  The twelve months ending in December saw revenue growth of 25% and EBIT margins of over 15%, despite sometimes volatile operating conditions, as the company’s addressable markets continued to diversify successfully. DigitalRoute’s 2017 growth establishes the company as a leading enabler of digital transformations and consumption based business models in 2018 and beyond.

2017 highlights
Highlights of the year included 45 new customers being added to DigitalRoute’s client list of over 360 customers – and over 450 deployments of its technology globally. DigitalRoute’s partnership with SAP again went from strength to strength as the two companies’ joint solutions in the areas of both billing and Big Data were deployed in a growing number of different vertical industries. Key wins in diverse verticals, ranging from utilities, healthcare, financial services and travel, transport and logistics (TTL), underlined DigitalRoute’s capability in meeting a range of critical enterprise challenges in the process of optimizing digital assets or monetizing new business models.

Annual growth
Over the last decade, DigitalRoute has experienced 16% compound annual growth. Both its 2017 order intake and revenues reached record levels for the company. Consolidating this success, last year DigitalRoute made a number of significant leadership changes including the addition of Andreas Zartmann as Chief Executive Officer and Stephen Bryant as Chief Technology Officer. Zartmann and Bryant are overseeing the continuing evolution of DigitalRoute technology towards the new business model and service delivery mechanisms (such as Cloud and the Internet of Things) that are mission critical in enterprise markets.

In DigitalRoute’s offering towards the telco market there was the uptake of the company’s OSS Mediation product, by two global Tier 1 carrier groups. In 2018, the drive towards IT transformation and digitization will command an increasing need for DigitalRoute’s technology in the new connected economy. DigitalRoute is strongly positioned for continued future growth as an increasing number of industries will leverage its technology as their businesses are digitized.

DigitalRoute CEO Andreas Zartmann said: “DigitalRoute’s 2017 performance is genuinely exciting. We continue to outperform the market as a whole, we see a confidence in both our products and our industry expertise and the nature of change in the market towards digitization casts our technology as an increasingly important component of future success.”

Zartmann concluded: “2017, while enormously successful, can be expected in time to be seen as just a starting point for the growing role DigitalRoute is likely to play as an enabler of digital commerce.”

About DigitalRoute

DigitalRoute has been providing new approaches to data integration and management since 1999. Its technology offers high throughput and provides a unique degree of user configurability, processing all usage and statistical data extracted from the networks, including both billable and non-billable events. This means customers gain greater cost efficiencies, improved times-to-market for new service offerings, the ability to monetize any data, and the means to enhance end-customer satisfaction. DigitalRoute makes network events available to the right systems in the right formats in the most appropriate volumes at the required times, without losing a single bit. This is the foundation from which multiple, mission-critical use-cases can be addressed in the areas of Billing Mediation, OSS Mediation, Online Control and Enterprise Data Processing.

Over 350 leading companies worldwide use DigitalRoute technology to meet their data management needs, including a number of OEM partners who use our platform as a central part of their own offerings. DigitalRoute is built on the core values of Expertise, Open-Mindedness and Commitment. With close to 200 employees, the company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden with regional offices in Gothenburg, Atlanta and Kuala Lumpur. DigitalRoute is a venture-backed, privately-held company.
